NRFA WOMEN’S LEAGUE: FC Savannah Beat Bagabaga Ladies FC to Strengthen Grip at Summit of the Table.

In-form Women’s Division One League champions, FC Savannah continued their impressive performance as they edged out rivals Bagabaga Ladies FC by 3-2 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Sports Stadium Annex on Sunday, as their search for premier league ticket continues.

Goals from Sakina Abdul Hanan and Karima Abdulai were on the score sheet as the two prolific strikers increased their goals tally to 7 each in five matches, as FC Savannah picked up yet another win to remain unbeaten in the ongoing campaign.

Eklima Iddrisu broke the deadlock when she found the net on 30th minute of the game but Captain of the home side, Asana Ibrahim cancelled it with superb free kick to silence the away crowd, with the game ending 1-1 at half time.

Returning from recess, the homesters increased their pressure on Bagabaga Ladies FC and got a reward when Sakina Abdul Hanan netted on 39th minute to double their lead. Karima on the 90th minute gave her their third goal. But Yaatasu netted with few seconds left on clock as her goal proved to be the Consoling goal to her side.

FC Savannah still remain at the summit of the table and continue their unbeaten run as they face Dahinshali Ladies Next.
