Halid Prince Mukadi Gbramoni, a popular sports presenter in Northern region has expresses his disappointment in how some fans and coaches take the law into their own hands by assaulting referees in Tamale.
According to him such an act will not help in the progress of football in the region. He noted that, coaches and fans should put much efforts in building their players talent rather than accusing referees of being against them.
Prince Mukadi lamented how some people fail to follow the rules and regulations of football as well as rules governing every league. His comments came after a male coach was captured on video assaulting a female referee on the pitch.
The disappointed Mukadi wrote “Let’s stop assaulting referees and learn the game. If a club wants to perform well and go far, you have to get more professional management who knows the game and learn about the game but not ignorance. Am very very disappointed how we don’t respect referees and something must be don’t to serve as a deterrent to others for assaulting referees. Who ever assault a referee must be arrested and fined as well. #Cc; RFA. Sports presenters. Referees’ association”.
He has therefore call on the Northern Regional Football Association to deal with any person or persons who take the law into their own hands to assault a referee.
