$170 judgment debt: it is unacceptable to let the poor Ghanaian tax payer pay for your negligence – Alhaji Fawan

A Ghanaian business man and member of the National Democratic Congress, NDC has chastised the NPP government  for being negligent with the Emergency Power plant Agreement case. According to him, the NPP government could have prevented the judgment debt of $ 170 million if they responded earlier to the proposal to $18 million “instead of forcing the Ghanaian taxpayer to pay multiple times the amount”. This Alhaji Fawan said is unacceptable and an act of wickedness.

Alhaji Fawan wrote: “All of NDC’s efforts and successes in increasing our electricity capacity and resolving our power difficulties being characterized by a judgment debt, which is extremely discouraging and saddening. How could the government ignore a proposal to pay $18 million and instead force Ghanaian taxpayer to pay multiple times the amount, $170 million without regard for their pain and suffering. This is totally unacceptable and pure wickedness for one’s negligence to cost us this great deal of money. Totally incompetent and clueless bunch of individuals touted as “intellectuals”
